Once again, Governor DeSantis is going against what the people of Florida want and request. And, he knows it, that's why he did it behind closed doors. This gun bill is going to get more women, children, and men killed.
The Republicans in this state and this governor keep giving me reasons to never leave my house. Fuck you, DeSantis. š”

"Even as DeSantis pushed the proposal ahead of his expected bid for president, public polling on the issue has shown it to be widely unpopular with both political parties. Last month, a poll conducted by the University of North Florida showed 77% of the 1,492 respondents were somewhat or strongly opposed to the permitless carry legislation, a number that included 62% of Republicans.
Not only is there bipartisan opposition to this āconstitutional carryā bill, but folks seem to feel passionately about it with the majority (67%) saying they strongly oppose the bill,ā Michael Binder, the director of the University of North Floridaās Public Opinion Research Laboratory, said when the poll was released. āEven among Republicans, most people are against carrying weapons without a permit.ā
One of the worst things to have to deal with after my husband passed away was not having anyone to talk to about all the atrocities going on in our nation or our world. I could talk to my husband about anything and everything. Heād let me vent, heād share his thoughts, empathize with me on whatever got me upset, especially womenās rights and issues.
